Weekly Photo Contest
Welcome to the weekly photo contests. We hope to improve our photography skills and make a nice collection we can come back to a long time from now and enjoy. It provides motivation to take pictures frequently enough to have a submission-worthy photo every week. Feel free to browse around the collections below, we want all interested parties to come back and check it out.
Each week has its own page. Just enter the current week's page and submit your best effort. Submissions are mainly from "us" (people who know each other, if you are invited then for sure you are included), but we'd like anyone to browse them and comment, if they'd like.

Guidelines
- The contest is weekly. The deadline is 1700 or so on Sundays.
One entry per person per week (unless you have two super photos that you just must share).
- The photos should have been taken "recently": not more than two weekends prior to the deadline.
- Give a description underneath it, we like hearing your thoughts on them. Include a record of any post-processing done in comments.
- Contrast adjustment, color correction, and similar operations are reasonable. More destructive photoshopping should be frowned upon (except when it's really cool).
- Constructive criticism helps the critic to identify what elements make a "good photo" and helps the photographer to improve their work.
If there is a clearly superior photo, then there is an obvious winner. If there isn't a clear winner, it isn't necessary to declare one. (This is only a "contest" in a loose sense of the word.) In fact, it really isn't a contest at all anymore.
How to upload
Go to the Attachments link at the top of the page for the week (attach it to that week's page). You can make the page if you are the first one to upload.
Upload a new attachment. Give it a reasonable name, but know that each week gets its own namespace. Try to follow a pattern like yourname_description.jpg. Underscores are better than spaces.
Link it from the wiki page using `<<Gallery(image=the_attachment_name.jpg)>>`. Leave it in backticks until it's time to start judging(so that we'll see them all at once). Follow the model of whoever has already done it. (The Gallery macro is a hack rkd did, so if something breaks, check it again-- it's not very resistant to mistakes right now. It will be fixed soon.)
