So unlike yesterday's comic implied, these locks do not have a master
combination, they have a master key.  Notice how the two pictures and
descriptions vary:

Purple: How should we describe the new locks on our web page?
Purple: We have to make them seem like a good thing...
Green: I know! Let's completely omit the fact that we will have a
   master key.
